When a crown is the right call
A crown covers the whole tooth rather than filling part of it. That matters when there is more missing structure than remaining structure: a large old filling that keeps failing, a cracked cusp, a tooth that has had root canal therapy, or one worn flat by years of grinding. A filling replaces material. A crown holds the tooth together.

How a bridge works, and how it compares to an implant
A bridge spans a gap by anchoring a replacement tooth to the teeth on either side. It is fixed in place, it restores chewing quickly, and it is often the right answer when the neighboring teeth already need crowns anyway.
The trade-off is that healthy enamel has to be reduced on those anchor teeth, and the bone under the gap keeps shrinking because nothing is loading it. An implant avoids both. We will lay out the cost, timeline and longevity of each before you decide, rather than steering you to one by default.
