What veneers can and cannot fix
Veneers are very good at deep discoloration that whitening will not touch, chipped or worn edges, teeth that are uneven in length or width, and small gaps between front teeth. They change what the front of the tooth looks like, completely and predictably.
They are not orthodontics and they are not a bite treatment. Significant crowding is better straightened first, often with aligners, so that less enamel has to be removed later. Active gum disease, decay or heavy grinding gets addressed before any porcelain is planned.
Conservative preparation, approved before it is permanent
We remove as little enamel as the case allows, and in some cases almost none. Enamel does not grow back, so every fraction of a millimeter is a decision, not a default.
Shade and shape are chosen with photographs and a preview of the finished result, viewed in natural light and with your own face as the reference. You approve the direction before anything is bonded, and adjustments happen while they are still adjustable.
