One appointment. One crown. Done.
We design, mill and seat your porcelain crown while you are here. No impression tray sent to a lab, no temporary crown, no second visit.
The old way and our way
The traditional crown takes at least two appointments and two to three weeks. Impressions get sent to an outside lab, you wear a temporary that can loosen or come off, and you come back to have the real one fitted.
We scan the tooth digitally, design the crown on screen, mill it from a solid block of porcelain in the office and bond it the same day. Dr. Marino has been doing this since 2008 and has placed thousands of them.
Why it is a better restoration, not just a faster one
Fewer appointments is the obvious benefit. The clinical ones matter more. There is no temporary crown to leak or fail. The prepared tooth is not left exposed for weeks. The digital scan is more accurate than a physical impression, which means a better fit at the margin, and margin fit is what determines how long a crown lasts.
What the visit looks like
Plan on a longer single appointment rather than two short ones. The tooth is prepared and scanned, the crown is designed and milled while you wait, then it is tried in, adjusted, and bonded. You walk out with the final restoration in place and can eat normally that day.
Why patients choose it
- Finished in a single visit.
- No temporary crown.
- Digital scan instead of impression material.
- Milled from solid porcelain.
- Color matched in the office.
- Accurate margins for a longer lasting result.
