Why a tooth comes out

Aftercare, and why replacement comes first
Expect some swelling and tenderness for a few days, and follow the post-procedure instructions closely for the first twenty-four hours so the clot stays where it belongs. Soft food, no straws, no smoking. We are reachable if anything worries you.
The replacement conversation happens before the extraction because the decisions interact. Preserving the socket with a graft at the time of removal often makes a future implant simpler and cheaper. Once the site has healed and the bone has shrunk, those options narrow.
